Our Story
Connect Quinte was built on a community’s efforts to find practical ways to love our neighbours in Quinte West.
In March 2022, the congregation of Ebenezer Christian Reformed Church on Fourth Avenue in Trenton held a series of workshops to reflect on the needs of the community. After connecting with their neighbours, and completing surveys and studying the issues most affecting the residents of Quinte West, a team from the church was developed around the issue of affordable housing.
After more research, the escalating housing crisis in Quinte West prompted the formation of a non-profit organization, the Connect Quinte Affordable Housing Corporation. Our goal is to promote, provide, and operate affordable housing projects in our community.
The name Connect Quinte stems from our organization’s deep desire to bring neighbours together with the shared goal of ensuring that every member of our community has a place to call home. This passion for building inclusive and compassionate community, and strengthening partnerships around the issue of affordable housing, drives our efforts.
We invite you to reach out and join us as we work to connect Quinte West to home.
